A Legacy of Engineering Excellence
The late Mr. M. S. Luthra, the founder of Bombay Chemical Equipments, was a visionary engineer whose distinguished career spanned over six decades in the engineering and manufacturing sector. His professional journey began in 1960 as a Design Engineer with Dorr-Oliver Inc. (USA), progressing to senior leadership roles, including Project Manager and Chief Design Engineer by 1970. Leveraging his extensive technical expertise, he went on to establish and lead multiple engineering ventures across automobile radiators, hydraulics and pneumatics, precision press metal components, and pipeline strainer manufacturing.
He also served as CEO of an international windmill manufacturing company for four years before returning to the family enterprise, where he led Bombay Chemical Equipments with a strong emphasis on engineering excellence, quality, reliability, and integrity. His enduring legacy continues to guide BCE’s commitment to delivering trusted industrial solutions.
Mr. G. S. Luthra, Managing Partner of Bombay Chemical Equipments, represents the second generation of leadership and has been actively driving the company’s growth since 1993. A Mechanical Engineer by qualification, he played a crucial role in securing key industry approvals, including Engineers India Limited (EIL) and registrations with major refineries across India, strengthening BCE’s presence in the filtration and sealing solutions sector. His engineering acumen, combined with a hands-on understanding of industrial processes, has enabled the company to expand its manufacturing capabilities and uphold a strong reputation for reliability, quality, and technical expertise.
