Sustainability

Sustainability at BCE

Building responsible operations that respect people, resources, and the environment. At BCE, sustainability is integrated into everyday practices across our facilities, workforce, and community initiatives. Our approach focuses on reducing environmental impact, conserving resources, and supporting long-term ecological balance.

Reusable Glass Bottles with BCE Branding

To reduce single-use plastic consumption, BCE promotes the use of reusable glass water bottles across the workplace. Branded bottles are provided to employees, while separate reusable bottles are also offered to visitors, reinforcing responsible consumption habits within and beyond our facilities.

Rainwater Harvesting & Water Reuse (STP Plant)

BCE follows responsible water management practices through rainwater harvesting and an in-house Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).

  • Wastewater generated from factory operations, drainage, and cooking areas is routed through the STP
  • Treated water is safely reused for non-potable applications
  • Rainwater harvesting supports underground borewell recharge
  • Recovered water is used for plantation and greenery maintenance

This closed-loop approach helps reduce freshwater dependency and supports sustainable water usage.

Shanti Hastkala – Giving Back to Society

Through Shanti Hastkala, BCE supports community-oriented initiatives focused on social responsibility and skill-based empowerment. This CSR effort reflects BCE’s belief in contributing beyond business by supporting people, craftsmanship, and community development.

Greenery & Tree Plantation Initiatives

BCE actively supports environmental care through increased green plantation across its factory and office premises, with over 200+ trees planted and nurtured to enhance natural cooling, improve air quality, and promote biodiversity. This green initiative also extends to new land development, where planned plantation contributes to long-term ecological balance and sustainable growth.

Employee EV Initiative

As part of its efforts to reduce carbon emissions, BCE has introduced electric two-wheelers for employees, supporting cleaner daily mobility. Additionally, a portion of our internal logistics movement is electrically driven, contributing to lower fuel dependency and reduced environmental impact.

Solar Energy Usage

BCE has incorporated solar-powered solutions into select factory operations, including the use of solar lamps. This reflects our gradual shift toward renewable energy adoption while supporting energy-efficient workplace practices.
